Located 20 miles west of Washington, DC, Centreville is roughly bordered by Bull Run River to the west, Uniontown to the south, Fairfax to the east and Chantilly to the north. Traveling out of Centreville is made easy by many of the major roads that run through the town. U.S. route 29 enters Centreville from the west and is the main road throughout the town. From the south runs Virginia Route 28, while Interstate 66 also runs through the middle. For people without cars, the Fairfax Connector bus also has routes that connect passengers to the metro system.

With a contemporary interior and dimly-lit ambiance, Iron Age is the perfect place for a fun place for indulging your inner meat-lover.
Enjoying the Great Outdoors in Centreville
Centreville residents also have their pick from many different parks, from small neighborhood green spaces to larger camping grounds for weekend excursions. Located in the Chalet Woods neighborhood is the Chalet Woods Park, 10 acres consisting of tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground and walking/hiking trails. For a longer hike or bike ride, the trails in this park eventually lead into the Cub Run Trail System.
Bull Run Regional Park is also nearby and has enough activities to keep you busy for days. With acres of scenic woodlands and miles of trails, hikers, biker and equestrians alike are welcome. The campgrounds are open year-round featuring rustic cabins available to rent. The public shooting center is also open year-round, which includes sporting clays, skeet, traps, wobble traps and indoor archery. Each summer, the large outdoor water park is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The park also hosts different events throughout the year such as the Northern Virginia Summer Brewfest, Ice Cream Race and various 5ks.
Opening only a few years ago, the Stuart Mosby Civil War Cavalry Museum, located on Braddock Road, documents the area’s history dating back to the pre-Revolutionary time period. Free to the public, the museum displays artifacts connected to Confederate stalwarts such as General James Ewell Stuart and Colonel John Mosby. The museum is also right next to the Mt. Gilead House, the oldest standing site in the county, built in 1785.
